Holyoe High School Hockey, 1935

This year’s hockey team led by Captain Earl Craven, again set up an enviable record. Under the able direction of Coach Henry Fitzpatrick, who has earned for himself wide fame as a developer of Hockery players, the team was rated in second place in the race for sectional honors with a record of nine (9) wins, five (5) losses, and one (1) tie. The outstanding feature in the season’s success was the triumph  over Boston Latin School in a game played in the Boston Garden. In the game “Monny” Dean, the team’s leading scorer, defensive-man “Bob” Lempke, and “Tommy” Ripa, that almost impregnable custodian of the net, all drew favorable comment from noted Boston hockey critics.
