Claire Devine, Georgette Bousquet, Bunny Burke, Patricia Bourquet, Joan Vienneau, Ann Barnett, Ann McAndrews and Christine Blanchette; rear, Constance Burke, Irene Gosselin, Carol Claire, Shirley Savard, Dorothy Krajewski, Agnes Corley, Julia Garbacik, Barbara Krajewski, Judy Dietz, and Lou Ann Zwirblia.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Holyoke &#8212;<\/strong> The technique and grace in ploughing rhythmically through water was demonstrated this afternoon in a three hour exhibit at the indoor Ward 1\u00a0 pool by youngsters before a gallery that thronged the structure<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Tonight at Pool<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The annual aquatic carnival featured girls who received their training from instructors at the pool. The skill they showed in executing difficult maneuvers was a reflection of the diligence and competency shown by <strong>Mrs. Berry Dooley<\/strong> and <strong>Miss Patricia O&#8217;Donnell<\/strong> who taught the classes.<\/p>\n<p>Judges were <strong>Robert Gaughan<\/strong>, M<strong>ichael Reddin<\/strong>g, <strong>Theresa Gordo<\/strong>n, <strong>Jeanne Lecour<\/strong>, <strong>Maureen Clark<\/strong>, P<strong>atricia Delisle<\/strong> and <strong>Janet Mungall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Songs and Fancy Diving<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Songs by <strong>Bunny Burke<\/strong>, <strong>Beverly Walsh<\/strong> and <strong>Claire Devine<\/strong> opened the exhibition. Fancy diving followed and winners were <strong>Julie Garbacik<\/strong>, <strong>Anne Burnett<\/strong> and <strong>Dorothy Krajewsk<\/strong>i.<\/p>\n<p>Then came the races. Winners of the six-year-olds&#8217; dash were <strong>Patsy Bourque<\/strong> and <strong>Joyce Goulet<\/strong>. Prizes in the seven to nine age group went to <strong>Bunny Burk<\/strong>e and <strong>Claire Devine<\/strong>; winners of the 10-year-olds&#8217; races were <strong>Midge Burke<\/strong> and <strong>Kathleen Devine<\/strong>; 11-year-olds, a tie between <strong>Carol Clare<\/strong> and<strong> Judy Dietz<\/strong>; 14-year olds, <strong>Barbara Krajewski<\/strong> and <strong>Joanne Zwirbi<\/strong>a.<\/p>\n<p>During intermission, <strong>Joanne Vienneau<\/strong> sang. The events then went of with breast stroke racing. Winners in the midget race were <strong>Bunny Burke<\/strong> and <strong>Claire Devine<\/strong>; junior race, <strong>Julie Garbacik<\/strong> and <strong>Judy Walker<\/strong>; senior race, <strong>Joanne Zwirbia<\/strong> and <strong>Agnes Corley.<!--more--><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Side Stroke Champs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the side stroke races, winners of the midget dash were <strong>Bunny Burke<\/strong> and <strong>Georgette Bousquet<\/strong>; junior dash, <strong>Ann Burnett<\/strong> and<strong> Ann McAndrew<\/strong>. Winners in the back stroke race were <strong>Julie Garbacik<\/strong> and <strong>Ann McAndrew<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In another intermission <strong>Joyce Goulet<\/strong> sang. The five-year olds took part in a skit, &#8220;<em>How Do You Do, My Partner<\/em>,&#8221; with <strong>Anne Lafond<\/strong>, <strong>Kathy<\/strong> and <strong>Noreen Phillips<\/strong>, <strong>Patsy Albano<\/strong>, <strong>Ruth Descelles<\/strong>, <strong>Elaine Gero<\/strong>, <strong>Barbara Loughran<\/strong> and <strong>Becky Walker<\/strong> participating. Other swimmers who took part in a skit, &#8220;<em>Jimmy Crack Corn<\/em>,&#8221; were <strong>Claire Devine<\/strong>, <strong>Bunny Burke<\/strong>, <strong>Lucille Boissonault<\/strong>, <strong>Beverly Walsh<\/strong>, <strong>Patsy Burke<\/strong>,<strong> Joanne Walke<\/strong>r, <strong>Joanne Cavanaugh<\/strong>, <strong>Joyce Goulet<\/strong>, <strong>Anne Burnett<\/strong> and <strong>Joanne Vienneau<\/strong> and then did a tango. Sisters raced against each other and the winners were <strong>Midge Burke<\/strong>, <strong>Claire Devine<\/strong>,<strong> Irene Gosselin<\/strong> and <strong>Barbara Krajewski<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Comediennes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a comedy skit, <strong>Claire Devine<\/strong>, the mother, rode her baby, <strong>Beverly Walsh<\/strong>, around in a baby carriage and then dumped her in the pool. Lucille Boissobault entertained with songs.<\/p>\n<p>A ballet exhibition was given by <strong>Ann Burnett<\/strong>,<strong> Bunny Burke<\/strong>, <strong>Julie Garbacik, Shirley Savard, Pauline Ciurchesne, Ann McAndrew, JoAnne Vienneau, Dorothy Krajewski, Midge Burke<\/strong> and <strong>Carol Clare<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In the peanut and spoon race, winners were<strong> Joanne Zwirbla<\/strong> and <strong>Carol Clare<\/strong>. Winners of the tin hat race were<strong> Julie Garbacik<\/strong> and <strong>Judy Dietz<\/strong>. In the pie plate race, <strong>JoAnne Zwerbla<\/strong> and<strong> Ann Burnett<\/strong> won. Prizes in the balloon race went to <strong>Midge Burke<\/strong> and <strong>Bunny Burke<\/strong>. Umbrella racing winners were <strong>Joanne Zwerbla<\/strong> and <strong>Anne Burnett<\/strong>. Winners of the potato race were <strong>Carol Clare<\/strong> and <strong>Julie Garbacik<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Formations Close Show<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>THe show closed with formation swimming.
