John Moriarty and Michael Donoghue.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Holyoke, August 30. &#8212;<\/strong> The Jimmy Fund netted almost a dollar for every run scored in the benefit softball game tonight between the Lawyers and the Board of Aldermen before a large crowd at Soldiers Field. Jimmy Fund baseball boxes were passed among the crowd and contributions amounted to $37.64.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Childs Tosses First Ball<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The lawyers defeated the city legislators by 24 &#8211; 25. To add color to the event, <strong>Alderman Fred Childs<\/strong>, veteran member, tossed out the first ball and former Alderman Lionel Boucher took an unsuccessful clout at the initial pitch. <strong>City Solicitor Joseph F. Kelly<\/strong> and <strong>James E. Barr<\/strong>y, chairman of the Water Board, were umpires.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Clark Lyon<\/strong> hit a home run for the barristers and the fielding play of the game was a catch by <strong>Alderman James Farrell<\/strong> in deep center field.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">S<strong>cully is Re-elected<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The game closed the softball season for the lawyers. Following the game<strong> Capt.
