It was an iconic place for us and we eagerly looked for the familiarity of seeing it as well as spotting changes over the years.<\/p>\n<p>Eugene &#8220;Gene&#8221; Tamburi and his wife Catherine founded the place and many others over the years in Massachusetts and Connecticut.<\/p>\n<p>Many years later I became a fan of The Pig&#8217;s Ear and later   incarnation as the Golden Lemon, also Tamburi creations.   I can remember sitting in the Pig&#8217;s Ear and listening to Sarah Vaughn singing &#8220;Old Cape Cod&#8221; on the jukebox.
