David H. Lowe Dies at Hospital<\/strong><\/p>\n Holyoke, Jan. 12, 1936 — David H. Lowe<\/strong> of 228 Elm Street. the oldest member of Mount Tom Lodge of Masons died tonight at the Holyoke hospital after a short illness. He was a life-long resident of this city and had been a paper maker for 40 years. He leaves on son, John M., of Amherst and two daughters, Mrs. Charles Minott of Greenfield and Mrs. Jean Shumway of Holyoke and one sister, Mrs. Rachel Williams of Shattuckville. The body was removed to the Martin funeral chapel.<\/p>\n Mrs. Marion Lowe<\/strong><\/p>\n Holyoke , Nov. 10, 1929 —Mrs. Marion M. (Smith) Lowe<\/strong>, wife of David H. Lowe of 276 Franklin Street, died yesterday afternoon at the Holyoke Hospital after a shor illness. Mrs. Lowe was born in Leicester in 1854, moving to Amherst, coming to Holyoke 58 years ago. In 1877 she was married to Mr. Lowe and on July 4, 1927, celebrated her golden wedding anniversary. Besides her husband she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Charles F. Minnott of Burnston, and Mrs. Jean J. Shumway of Holyoke; one son, John M. of this city, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Alexander L. Smith of Holyoke and two sisters, Mrs. Edward McGown of Springfield and Mrs. Nancy Stiles of New Bedford. Mrs. Lowe was a member of the Second Congregational Church. The funeral will be held at the home Monday at 2 with Rev. Dr. Clarence Reidenbach officiating. Burial will be in Forestdale Cemetery.<\/p>\n Death of William S. Lowe<\/strong><\/p>\n June 1, 1908 — William S. Lowe<\/strong>, 28, died at his home, 49 Suffolk Street, at 5 yesterday afternoon after a four months illness. He had been employed as a clerk by the American Thread Company. He leaves, besides a widow, one daughter Marion A. and a son William D. He also leaves a father and a mother, Mr. and Mrs. David H. Lowe of South Amherst, and a brother, John M. of South Amherst. The funeral will be held at his late home on Suffolk Street tomorrow afternoon at 3. Rev. Dr. E. A. Reed conducting the service.
