Click on image for a larger view.   A typical sunny day with students sitting on the lawn, in the lower image this location was on the lawn just above the word &#8220;Sargeant&#8221; at the left.<\/p>\n<p>The reason this picture is posted is the view down Sargeant Street. Some of the apartment buildings or &#8220;blocks&#8221; seen here on the right are no longer with us. This image is looking toward the Armory and Walnut Street. In the larger version of this image a glimpse of the Armory is visible. Compare with the aerial view in the Bing image, below.<\/p>\n<p>Back in 1969 &#8211; 1970 I had a 5th floor walk-up apartment on the corner of Sargeant and Walnut, located just behind the white truck is in the upper image. Gone now. But back then a great student apartment &#8212; shared it with a friend, heated, for $20 weekly. In the lower image this building would have been in what is now   the vacant lot in the lower right corner.<\/p>\n<p>Do you recognize anyone in this picture?
