Frederick T. Bray, Ice Dealer, Dies Suddenly<\/strong><\/p>\n

Stricken with a Heart Attack at his Home on Jarvis Avenue<\/strong><\/p>\n

Frederick T. Bray, 66, of Jarvis Avenue for 35 years in the ice business in this city, died suddenly tonight of a heart attack. He was at home at the time and Medical Examiner James B. Bigelow pronounced death due to heart failure.<\/p>\n

Mr. Bray was born in Chicopee June 9, 1872 and came to Holyoke when six years old. He was educated in the local public schools and conducted the Fred T. Bray ice company for 25 years until his retirement 10 years ago.<\/p>\n

He leaves his widow, Selina (Clarkson) Bray; four brothers, Frank, Thomas, Alfred and Dwight, all of this city; three sisters, Mrs. Thomas E. Slattery and Mrs. Roy W. Bates of this city and Miss Ruth Bray now of Toronto, Canada. The latter was a missionary in China for many years and several years ago was captured by a band of brigands and held captive for some time, later effecting her release. There are also several nieces and nephews. Mr. Bray attended the First Baptist Church. The funeral arrangements are incomplete.<\/p>\n
