He was graduated A.B. from Amherst College in 1857. While in college, he was especially devoted to the study of geology. After graduation he became principal of the high school, serving from 1859-1860; leaving Holyoke he studied at Harvard Medical School and the University of Vermont where he was graduated M. D. in 1862.<br \/>\nDr. Morse first practiced at Reading, Massachusetts, later moving to nearby Salem where he maintained a practice for the rest of his life. He was one of the founders of the Medical Department of Boston University and was Professor of Diseases of Women and Children from 1874 to 1887. In 1878- 1879 he was secretary of the Massachusetts Homeopathic Medical Society and editor of volumes IV-V of its transactions 1879.
