The attendants were Miss Laura [sic] Cathro, a sister of the bride, and Percy Price of Westfield. The bride wore a champagne-colored suit and carried white asters. The bridesmaid also wore a champagne-colored suit, and carried pink asters. The house was beautifully decorated for the occasion with asters and hydrangeas, and following the ceremony a supper was served, guests being resent from Westfield, Amherst, Ludlow and Easthampton. The groom’s gift to the best man was a gold watch fob, and the bride gave her attendant an opal ring. The bride’s parents came to Holyoke about three years ago from Dundee, Scotland, and the bride has been very active in church work and in the women’s branches of several Scottish societies. The groom is employed by the H. B. Smith foundry in Westfield. Following the reception last evening the couple left for Boston, where they will spend two weeks and will be at home after September 15 at 34 Shepard street, Westfield.

From The Springfield Republican.

[Note: If your surname is Cathro and you live in or hail from the western MA are, we are probably related. Isabella Cathro’s mother Jane Harris was the sister of my great-grandmother Ann Harris. These two sisters emigrated to Holyoke along with two additional sisters and two nieces. In the wedding description above, Laura is an error, it probably should have been Lena, a nickname for Isabella’s sister Magdalena.
