B. Lawrence School will probably be crowned with success. The city has already started the work and in three cases has named new school buildings after Holyokers and it is probable that they will continue as new buildings are erected. Chairman Terence O’Donnell of the school board received a letter from Henry T. Bailey, former member of the state board, Saturday, favoring the renaming of the Appleton Street School on honor of the late Principal Lawrence as a deserved tribute to the worth of Mrs. Lawrence as an educator.

Must Get New House Numbers — City Engineer T.J. McCarthy has sent notice to the residents on those streets which have been ordered renumbered by the Board of Public Works and the aldermen during the past year, that they will have 30 days in which to get the proper numbers affixed before being brought into court for neglect of so doing. Those who know the city engineer will without doubt get at the work at once, for they also know that the order will be enforced.

Mrs. Laurena Sasard, 26, died at her home, 205 Park Street, yesterday morning. She leaves, besides a husband, two children. The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 8:30, with requiem mass at the Precious Blood Church at 9. The burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery.

One of the plate glass windows in the Elmwood Dye-House was broken by two boys early yesterday afternoon. Just how the accident happened could not be learned, but the window looked as if it had been hit with a club, the lower part being broken so that nearly half fell inward. The boys names has not been learned last evening.

Adapted from The Springfield Republican.

13 February 1911 Renaming School Buildings. — The suggestion that the school houses be named after prominent Holyoke teachers and men seems a good one, and the effort to have the Appleton Street School renamed the H.
