Swan Bicycle Club, 1896

Bicycling was a major sport in yesteryear and back in 1896 a group of young Holyokers, all of whom were to become leaders in their fields, organized a group and called themselved the Swan Bicycle Club. Members pictured above are, first row, left to right James W. Toole, George C. Watson and Joseph Magna. Second row, left to right are Richard W. Chase, Clarence Seymour, Charles L. Newcomb, and William Chase. Top row, in same order, are Lansing Reed, J. Roy Lewis, Russell W. Magna and Irving Farr.
