CHAPTER II.
MEETINGS.


Rule 1. The regular meetings of the Board shall he held at an hour appointed by the Board on the evening of the first Monday of each month, excepting in January (in which month the regular meeting shall be held on the Monday following the organization meeting), also excepting when the first Monday falls on a legal holiday, in which case the meeting shall be held on the following evening.

Rule 2. The Chairman may, and, at the written request of three members, shall call special meetings of the Board, always provided that a notice of at least twenty-four (24) hours shall have been given.

Rule 3. The business of a special meeting shall be limited strictly to the purpose for which the meeting Is called.

Rule 4. The Board shall meet as a Committee of the Whole on Monday nights one week previous to regular meetings unless otherwise ordered or at call of the Chairman to give e hearings, to discuss the qualifications, appointment, election, transfer, salary increase or dismissals of teachers or any changes relating to their work and to consider all other matters that the Board may desire to discuss as a Committee of the Whole. These meetings shall not be open to the public.

Rule 5. So far as possible all meetings, special or otherwise, shall be held on Monday evenings. At the discretion of the Board no meetings shall be held during July or August.

Rule 6. All meetings shall be open to the public except when the Board votes to go into executive session.

Rule 7. A majority of the Board shall constitute a quorum; but when a quorum is not present, three or more members may adjourn the meeting to a certain time.
