Eugene Bushey, or Boucher, 14, employed at the Hadley thread mill, committed suicide at his home, 6 Potvin avenue, about noon yesterday because he had been discharged from the moll. He claimed that he was not to blame for the trouble that led to his discharge and brooded over it apparently. He lived with his mother, Mrs. Lewis Bushey, his father having been dead some time. His mother works at the Crew manufacturing company, and his two sisters at the Hadley company and all were at work yesterday morning, the boy being left alone in the tenement, which is on the fourth floor. About 11:30 a girl on the same floor went into the Bushey tenement and found young Bushey hanging from a hook in the kitchen. He had taken a small cord and tied it to the hook, made a loop of the end and twisted it around his neck, thus strangling to death. The girl gave the alarm and A. Duval, a teamster, who was passing came up and cut the boy down. Medical Examiner Holyoke was notified and viewed the body. The police department was notified and an officer was detailed to guard the body until the medical examiner came. Bushey would have been 15 in February.
