October 5, 1900

A number of Holyoke principals and teachers met at the office of Superintendent Nash yesterday afternoon, and after a discussion of the matter decided to form a teachers’ association. A meeting of those interested was called for Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 to elect officers, draw up a constitution and transact all the business consequent upon the formation of such an organization. The association will meet at more or less regular intervals, and discuss subjects of mutual interest relative to methods and studies.
