Afternoon Wedding Ceremony Performed at Church
Miss Ida Lavinia Tiffany, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tiffany of 101 Hampshire Street, and Archie Bentley, son of Mrs. and Mrs. Fred Bentley of this city, were married yesterday afternoon at 4 at the St. Paul’s church, Rev. Franklin Knight officiating. The best man was George Tiffany and the bridesmaid was Miss Beatrice Bentley, sister of the groom. The ring bearer was Franklin Bentley and the flower girl was Christina Smith. The ushers were George Tiffany, 3d, and James Tiffany. The bride wore a white crepe de chine gown with a veil of white net. She carried white roses. The bridesmaid wore a canary yellow dress of organdy and carried chrysanthemums. There were many guests from Bridgeport, Providence, and Springfield. The Girls’ Friendly Society of St. Paul’s Church, of which the bride is a senior member, attended the wedding in a body. The bridge is also a member of the Eastern Star and Daughters of St. George Societies, and D. B. I. club. The groom is a member of the Masonic Lodge. The bridge received many beautiful gifts of cut glass, silver and other appropriate articles. A feature of the wedding repast was a cake sent to the bride by a friend in Bridgeport. The cake was two weeks in the making and contained four dozen eggs at $1 a dozen, nuts, spices and fruits, besides 18 pounds of confectionery sugar.
