Holyoke’s Fourth
The “Holyoke Hour,” the fourth of a series of radio broadcasts under the auspices of the Holyoke Chamber of Commerce, will be heard from the local WBZ studio on Wednesday evening. This series of concerts is rapidly coming to the fore as one of the finest features yet heard under the auspices of a civic organization. Some of the leading artists and speakers of Holyoke are heard on the occasion of these programs. of special interest in the program of this week will be the appearance of the Dean Works Quartet: Eugene Foote, 1st tenor; John Fox, 2d tenor; Harry Bailey, baritone; Norman Dash, bass. Assisting the quartet will be William J. O’Sullivan, pianist; James Stott, baritone. In addition James Murray and Eugene Beardsley will be heard in readings. Piano accompaniments will be played by Marjorie Malcolm Shaw.
