The old Fairfield homestead, built about 1760 is a well-known landmark, often pointed out to passersby. Less frequently seen is the long, low “ell” at the rear of the house, a typical colonial structure. Flower beds screen the ell in part. Miss Clara B. Ottaway now lives in this house.
