Wequomp tribe of Red Men of South Deerfield paid a visit to Uncas and Wampnoag tribes last evening in Parsons Hall at Holyoke, when the adoption degree was worked on six pale-faces, there being 17 others who were obligated at the same time. Many chiefs high in the councils of the Red men were present, including Great Sachem, W. A. Flonton, Grand Trustee G. H. Perkins, Deputy Grand Sachem W. C. Wholean, all of Westfield, Supreme Organizer W. A. Jordan of Boston, Past Sachems, P. F. Sullivan and W. H. Mallett of Holyoke among them. A collation followed. The work of the visitors was greatly enjoyed by those present.
