Today and tomorrow: The Parisian Widows at the Empire Theater.
To Celebrate 10th Anniversary: the bartenders union will celebrate their 10th anniversary at the National monument Hall tomorrow evening with a smoke-talk and entertainment. The committee in charge are Thomas Garrity, M. F. Lynch, P. F. Lynch, P. W. Crotty, Joseph Murray and John T. Sheehan.
A runaway occurred on the Springfield road yesterday afternoon A horse driven by Emil Bessette became frightened near the watering trough about 4:30 and ran, overturning the sleigh and throwing young Bessette out to the side of the road. He ran some distance toward Holyoke before being stopped. Fortunately the boy escaped serious injury, although the sleigh was badly broken and the horse injured.
President Mary E. Woolley of Mount Holyoke College will deliver a lecture at the Young Men’s Christian Association hall the evening o the 16th, he proceeds to go for the benefit of the White Cross Association of Nurses.
George H. Hill has bought a house in Oakdale of O. D. Allyn. Houston Andrews of Beacon Avenue has leased a house of J. A. Callahan at 131 Lincoln Street. L.P. Trowbridge has just finished a house at the corner of Hitchcock and Martin Streets for F. P. Dupee.
Suit for Injuries by Falling Glass — Papers were served yesterday by Sheriff Fred LaDuke in the suit of Lydia L. Cummings against the Ely Lumber Company. It is alleged that a heave case of glass placed in front of the Cray building blew over and fell on Miss Cummings as she was passing, injuring her severely.
