Notes:
On the 1880 Census there is only one Allyn with a forename beginning with an "S" — Samuel Allyn.

It is presumed Samuel Allyn's wife Harriett, b. about 1846 in CT, is the contributor represented here. On the 1880 Census [Ed 307, Ward 7, P 348, Line 42] Harriett is living with her family at 189 Northampton St. Residing with is her husband Samuel, and step-children Albert, age 21; Robert, age 10; and Mary, age 8.

A brief biography of Samuel Barret Allyn is elsewhere on this site. It cites Harriet as S.B. Allyn's third wife (noted as H. Emeline Minor) and appears to confirm the matter.
