Mrs. Catherine I. Hammond, the wife of Joseph P. Hammond, Jr., died yesterday at Rockville, CT. Mrs. Hammond was born at Auburn, NY., but left there while very young and spend her girlhood at Colchester, Ct. Forty eight years ago she was married to Joseph P. Hammond, Jr., when they moved to Rockville. They have lived there ever since. Mrs. Hammond was a member of the Union church of Rockville. Mr. and Mrs. Hammond had two children, W. C. Hammond and C. H. Hammond, the former of Holyoke, where he is a well known musician He is also an instructor of music at Mount Holyoke college. C. H. Hammond is in business with his father at Rockville,
