Danced in a Theater Box

While Pat Rooney was trying to amuse a restless crowd of spectators at the opera house Friday evening, a disgraceful scene was being enacted in one of the stage boxes. Two young couple occupying the box sought to attract the attention of the audience from the show by most unseemly conduct. The young men put their arms around their companions’ waists and conspicuously kissed them. Then they began a coarse break-down dance, in which skirts and colored stockings were conspicuous. The uproarious couples withdrew before the last act was over to escape trouble. The offenders hailed from this city.
