Who’s Who in the Air

Number 4 — Charles F. Willard

Resident of New York, but born in Melrose, Mass.

A graduate from automobile circles into those of the air.

Became interested in aeronautics during visit to France five years ago.

First attracted attention of aeronautical world by his cross country flights at Mineola, L. I. last year.

At that time he passed over Garden City, Westbury and Hicksville and effected a landing after a section of the engine in his Curtiss aeroplane had become disabled.

While making a flight at Joplin, Mo., May 31st last, Willard was shot at by some unknown person and the rudder of his machine shattered.
