William J. Flanagan has returned home, after several years’ absence in Italy, where he has been studying for the grand opera with Fernandino Guarino. Three years ago last February he left for Milan to continue the studies he began at the Boston and Dresden conservatories of music. While he has not been heard in this country as yet, the Italian papers speak highly of his ability, and before returning to Italy for further study, he will be heard in this country. He is the son of T. J. Flanagan of Holyoke.
