Main Street Tracks to be Removed Next

Following the completion of the removal of the trolley tracks on High street between Dwight and Appleton streets, anticipated by the middle of next week, the two crews will be shifted to Main street where the tracks will be removed from Dwight to Cabot streets. Announcement of these plans came from Superintendent of Streets Clark this morning. At a later date, it is planned to remove the tracks on Cabot street from High to the Willimansett bridge.

The Main street project also contemplates removing the granite block pavement on the easterly side of Main street bordering on the freight yards. There has been much favorable comment on the speed with which the High street job is being handled.
