Walker Family Connections

by Laurel | May 25th, 2010

As some of you know, I have been researching my family genealogy for many years now. A lot of it is connected to Holyoke.

A few years ago I made some connections between my Houston line and the Walker family. Both families emigrated from Scotland to Holyoke. Two of the Walker siblings married two Houston siblings. Some of the Walker families eventually moved to South Hadley, though they obviously still had strong Holyoke connections.

I am interested in hearing from anyone with the following connections, with known connected surnames cited below. Please contact me if you are among those listed or are connected to these families in any way. You will ultimately learn a lot about your own family genealogy.

McEwan descendants from John McEwan-Isabel Walker marriage. Surnames include Hay, Day (of the Day Funeral Home people), Millane, Dupont, Morrissey

Churchill descendants from Gaye Houston – George Churchill marriage.

Miller descendants from Jean Walker – Edward Miller marriage.

Other associated surnames of descendants: Morin, Kaine, Snow, Dupuis, Miller, Houston, and Turgeon.

If you have any interest in genealogy or family history and have connections with this family please let me know. I am interested in nothing more than exchanging information and perhaps some photographs. I recently made contact with someone in Scotland researching this same line, so you might enjoy contact with — or at least knowing about — distant cousins and an extensive family genealogy.

Feel free to contact me privately on Facebook or here: Holyoke [at] gmail .com. Thanks in advance
