Police Marshal Issues Orders to End Selling of Fireworks.

Marshal George Fitzgerald of police tonight issued a warning that those storekeepers found selling fireworks without a license will be subject to arrest and fine and that the practice of selling must be discontinued. He stated that his department had received a number of complains from people in all sections of the city.

Today a number of youngsters caught exploding small cannon, noisy to the point of disturbing people, were haled into headquarters and revealed the sources of their purchases. The licenses for the sale of the explosives is not usually granted until a day or two prior to the Fourth.
