Holyoke, Jan. 9 — The marriage of Miss Thelma T. Miles, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gideon Miles of Calumet road to Lieut. Clarence Leslie White U.S.A., son of Mr. and Mrs. George Elmus White of Springfield, Oregon; was solemnized this morning by Lieut. Munroe at the Westover Field Chapel at a single ring service.

Miss Doris Kurtz and Lieut. Lawrence Ashburner of Westover Field were the couple’s only attendants.

The bride was costumed in a brown wool suit with matching accessories and a corsage of orchids. Miss Kurtz chose a victory blue crepe with plum accessories and a corsage of red roses. The bride’s mother wore a black crepe with matching accessories and a corsage of gardenias.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at McCarthy’s restaurant.

Miss Miles was born in Turners Falls. She is a graduate of the Metcalf and Holyoke high schools and attended Holyoke Secretarial college. She is employed at the Western Union office.

Lieut. White is a native of Whitehall, Montana and graduated from the Union High School of Springfield, Oregon. Before entering the army in 1940 he was in the lumber business. He is now stationed at Westover Field.
