School for Marriage Radio Session Today

by Laurel | January 29th, 2012

Mrs. Walter Thompson (nee Emily Topham) was married to my mother’s cousin once removed. In terms of the topic, Emily Topham Thompson was a graduate of Mount Holyoke College (class of 1907) and her two daughters graduated from Mount Holyoke College as well. Perfect topic of discussion for her.

29 January 1936

Rev. Moses R. Lovell, pastor of the Second Congregational church, will be interviewed on his “School for Marriage” on the Federation radio broadcast over WMAS at 10 tomorrow morning. Mrs. I. S. Pulcifer and Mrs. L. C. Reynolds will do the interviewing.

Next week there will be a panel discussion at the same hour, participants to be Mrs. Harvey J. L. Hewitt, president of the Holyoke Business and Professional Women’s club; Mrs. M. H. Grassley, president of the Springfield Early Morning Club; Mrs. Walter E. Thompson, president of the Holyoke Women’s Club, and Mrs. John Streeter, president of the Hampden County Women’s club.
