Ophelia roses, Freesia and glorisum fern in plaques flanked by towering gold vases formed the table decoration at the last of the White House “state dinners” on Thursday. Speaker of the House and Mrs. Longworth were the chief guests in a company which included the governor of Connecticut and Mrs. Trumbull, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Gallagher of Cleveland, and Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Whiting of Holyoke, Mass., were White House guests for the occasion. Anna Case sang and Alberta Salvi played the harp and Max Jaffa was at the piano at the musical which followed the dinner.
