Another genealogical connection for me. Mrs. Ernest Lequin — nee Mary Harris Smith — was my grandfather’s sister, a great-aunt. I welcome communication with anyone who may be related.

19 February 1939

Holyoke, Feb 18 — The marriage of Miss Annamae R. Lequin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest P. Lequin of Newton Street, and John Charles MacFarlane of South Braintree, took place at 7 this morning at the Sacred Heart Church. Rev. James P. Gilrain performed the single ring service. The couple were attended by Miss Doris Wiburg and George M. Turner of Amherst.

There was a wedding breakfast in Beckman’s Pine room for the immediate family after which the couple left for an unannounced destination. Mrs. MacFarlane was born in Holyoke and educated in the local schools. Mr. MacFarlane was born in Roxbury and was educated in the Braintree schools. He is associated with Swift & Co.
