Marriage of Daughter of Attorney and Mrs. A. L. Green to Frank Henson of Philadelphia

The natural beauty of Meadowview, the home of Attorney and Mrs. Addison L. Green of Northampton Street, Holyoke, was enhanced by decorations of Easter lilies and smilax, arranged in honor of the wedding last evening of Miss Constance Green and Frank Henson, son of Rev. Dr. and Mrs. George Henson of Philadelphia, PA. The arrangements of the wedding were very simple, but the effect was most artistic.

The bridal party was led by the ushers, Robert Burdick of Brooklyn, NY, Richard Edwards of Brookline, Harold Whitely of Philadelphia and David Green of Holyoke, youngest brother of the bride. All these were college friends of the bridegroom at Wesleyan University and member with him of the Psi Upsilon fraternity. The attendants of the bride were Miss Ann Shanklin, daughter of President Shanklin of Wesleyan; Miss Jessie Bunker of New York City, Miss Bodeine Smith of Granby and Miss Eleanor Magee of Philadelphia, a cousin of the bridegroom. The matron of honor was Mrs. Addison B. Green, a sister-in-law of the bride, whose young sister Miss Clarisse Green, was her trainbearer.

At an improvised altar where the groom, attended by his best man John Ott of Philadelphia met his bride, the service was read by Rev. Dr. Franklin Knight, rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. He was assisted by the groom’s father, Rev. Dr. Henson. The bride was given away by her father. Wedding marches and other selections previous to the ceremony were played by Aronson’s orchestra of Springfield. After the ceremony the couple received their friends and a wedding supper was served.

Miss Green wore a beautiful gown of ivory white brocaded chiffon made en train, and a long tulle veil, which fell from a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried gardenias and lilies of the valley. The matron of honor wore a gown of emerald green silk and carried a bouquet of Easter lilies. Both the bride’s and the groom’s mothers carried lavender sweet peas and orchids.

After a wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Henson will make their home at Germantown, PA.
