Doris Kearns Goodwin

by Laurel | March 15th, 2013

I couldn’t be happier to learn author Doris Kearns Goodwin has received the John F. Kennedy Award for 2013 from the Holyoke St. Patrick’s Parade Committee. I have not read “The Fitzgeralds and the Kennedys” but until recently I lived in Brooklyn a very short walk to the former site of Ebbets Field and loved her memoir “Wait Until Next Year.”  And then there is the amazing “Team of Rivals” — all I can say is well done, Parade Committee — excellent choice!
