The Many Clubs of Holyoke — The Friday Club

The Friday Club has a social hour at each meeting and a club discussion, besides the reading of the paper. It meets but once a month, while most of the other clubs meet at least once in two weeks. the topics following are for this season:

October 9, hostess, Mrs. E. P. Ford; “Old and new English customs and habits,” Mrs. C. W. Ranlet.
November 12, hostess, Dr. Alice Hunt; “Current events,” Mrs. Gardner Cox.
December 11, hostess, Mrs. E. A. Hubbard; topic to be announced.
January 8, hostess, Mrs. A. A. Tyler; “Historic houses in this vicinity,” Mrs. G. A. Maxfield.
February 12, hostess, Mrs. J. G. Mackintosh; musical, in charge of Mrs. A. L. Shumway.
March 11, hostess, Mrs. J. L. Burlingame; “Aerial navigation,” F. D. Heywood,
April 8, hostess, Mrs. Wells Lathrop; “Thus we may see how the world wags,” Mrs. B. F. Arthur.
May 13, hostess, Mrs. C. B. Prescott; annual meeting.
