The Many Clubs of Holyoke — The Twentieth Century Club

by Laurel | April 4th, 2013

04 October 1903

The Twentieth Century Club is a little unfortunate this year, having just lost its very able president, Mrs. W. C. Akers, who has gone to New Britain. The club is run on a rather different plan than most of the clubs, its programs being made out only a fortnight in advance and each member having a part assigned to her at each meeting. the general topic this year will be the English poets of the 19th century and the first meeting will be held Friday afternoon with Mrs. A. A. Tyler. Mrs. M. W. Prentiss, the vice-president, will preside. The secretary is Mrs. L. J. Slate and the program committee includes the president, Mrs. L. H. Clarke and Mrs. A. A. Tyler.
