Repeated complaints filed with the ordinance committee of the Holyoke Board of Aldermen on alleged infractions of traffic regulations practiced by some bus drivers of the Holyoke St. Railway Co. drew the warning tonight that “rules governing use of bus stops for the transportation company will be strictly enforced.

Some members of the committee felt that their bus stop ordinances have been regarded as minus official teeth, and hence plan a probe of conditions in this respect throughout the city.

That bus stop regulations have not been strictly complied with appear to be evident from a series of photos taken throughout the city.

Upper picture caught a bus parking in mid-road at High and Suffolk Streets with traffic puling from behind, snarling southbound travel no end.

Center photo shows a bus parked in the middle of High Street near Essex and High Streets to discharge a passenger. It was noted that this bus is not the property of the local transportation company.

Lower photo was taken as a bus pulled into a bus stop at Race and Dwight Streets in a diagonal manner.
