Splendid Exhibits and Excellent Program Provided.
The details for the Holyoke fair have been completed and the program for the two days, to-morrow and Thursday, made out. One of the finest exhibits of horses, cattle and poultry ever seen in this section has been secured. Chapin’s poultry exhibit of Hampden, including 2 different varieties of fowls, will be one of the leading exhibits and Oscar C. Ferry will have some prize winners in the coops. With lots of “fakirs” for the midway, races, band concerts and exhibits, the fair will be well worth seeing. The program for Wednesday will be as follows: Park open at 8; stock inspection from 9 to 1, 1 p.m., local road race to wagon, half mile heats; second race 2:25, trot and pace, third race for three year old colts. Between the heats will be the vaudeville acts, parade of stallions, brood mares and colts and different hers of cattle, and the Indian bareback riding and pony race, half mile heats. The band concert will take place during the heats. In fact from 1 to 6 p.m. there will be “something doing” all the day. A number of tickets have already been sold.
