Ceremony Performed at Sacred Heart Church by Rev. William E. Foley.
The wedding of Miss Rose Wailgum, daughter of Mathias Wailgum of 57 Adams street, to Gustave Arnold of 67 Commercial street, took place yesterday morning at 9 in the Sacred Heart church. Rev. William E. Foley performed the ceremony and the wedding marches were played by the church organist, Miss Anne Nelligan. John B. Gorman sand “Ave Maria” and “O Salutaris.”
The bridge was gowned in bridal satin with duchas lace trimming and her veil was of pink lace, arranged in coronet style and caught with orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of butterfly roses. Miss Elizabeth Wailgum, the bride’s sister, was maid of honor and wore a gown of powder blue georgette crepe over pink with a hat in harmony. Her flowers were pink roses. George Gorman of South Canal street was best man. Fifty guests attended the reception which was held at the bride’s home after the ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold are spending their honeymoon in New York and Washington D.C., and upon their return will live at 57 Adams street.
