Frederick W. Koegel and Miss Theresa Schnell United in Marriage at the German Lutheran church.
Frederick W. Koegel of 527 Northampton street, and Miss Theresa Schnell were united in marriage in the German Lutheran church at Holyoke last evening at 7:30 in the presence of 150 people, including most of the leading German families of the city. The groomsmen were Charles Koegel, brother of the groom, and Edward Roth of Westfield. The bridesmaid was Miss Minnie Koegel, sister of the groom, and the ushers were William Englehardt of this city and Hugo Popp. The bride wore white silk lansdowne and carried roses and the bridesmaid wore white silk trimmed with blue and the maid of honor cream silk. The Episcopal ceremony was performed by the pastor Rev. August Brunn. Following the wedding ceremony the bridal party went to the groom’s home on Northampton street, where a reception was held and an elaborate wedding supper served. The bride us an orphan and went to Holyoke from Venice. After a wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Koegel will live in a charming home on Willow street, which the groom’s father furnished outright for the couple. The Koegel residence was elaborately decorated last evening with Japanese lanterns, and the men were served in the curt in the rear. There were fully 200 that called during the evening to partake of the generous hospitality that the occasion afforded. Music and dancing enlivened the evening.
