Holyoke. — The Y.M.H.A. forum will be addressed by one of the most prominent Jewish speakers tomorrow night when Dr. Samuel Margoshes, member of the editorial staff of The Day, one of the largest Jewish dailies in the country, will lecture at Zion hall on “The Future of American Jewry.” The lecture will be delivered in Jewish and should prove highly interesting, since Dr. Margoshes, who visits Holyoke for the first time, is a nationally recognized figure, having been the president of the Federation of Gallcian and Bukowinean Jews of America for several years. His articles in The Day have been widely read, and he is considered one of the greatest authorities on Jewish life in this country of the present day. The lecture will begin promptly at 8 o’clock, and since the seating capacity of the hall is limited, the doors will be closed as soon as all seats are occupied.

Miss Eva Zashetsky, one of the younger members of the association, presented a very interesting paper before the forum last evening on “What is Judaism?” Her treatment of the subject showed that she had spent a considerable time in studying the various authorities on the subject, and that she had analyzed the many standard explanations very carefully. Miss Zashetsky was warmly applauded on the conclusion of her reading, after which the subject was keenly discussed by the members present. Next Friday night Mr. Uberstine will present a paper on the Hebrew poet Bialik, who is expected to visit this country in the near future.
