Holyoke Canoe Club

The Holyoke Canoe Club met last evening at the Hotel Hamilton and voted to accept the plans of Clough and Reid, the architects for their new building. The plans provide for a two story house; the first floor or basement is to contain the lockers, general toilet-rooms and storage room for the canoes. On the second floor will be a large hall, chart-room for the members, Parlors and women’s toilet-rooms. On two sides of the building will be large verandas, affording a fine view up and down the river. Work will begin on the new building in about a month. There were 25 new members admitted last evening. The committee on changes of the by-laws and constitution reported, but no action was taken, the matter going over to the next meeting April 1.
