Will Tell of War Experiences in Arabia and Palestine
Holyoke, October 13 — Films of exceptional interest will be shown Tuesday night at the high school auditorium when Lowell Thomas presents his travel talk “With Lawrence in Arabia and Allenby in Palestine.” The lecturer was in the thick of the Arabic campaign attached to the staff of Gen. Lawrence as the only American observer. He came thus to know the general intimately and by word and by picture gives a vivid, gripping presentation of Lawrence and his superhuman achievement of rising 200,000 Bedouins of the Arabian desert for service. He also accompanied Gen. Attenby’s cavalry which swept Turks from Palestine. These are authentic pictures and of real historical value as well as being thrilling ans astonishing. Several lantern slides as well as the movies are shown. The lecturer appears under the auspices of the Holyoke Business and Professional Women’s club.
